eight glasses of water each day. Teach them to drink less
soda and more water.
You'll save money at the dentist's office and drinking more water is
good for your whole body!
Do you keep a day-planner? Write down some
time for exercise or physical activity in your family goals. Keep track
of your
activities together. Write down how
much time you spend doing physical activity. And what kinds of food you
ate together.
Set realistic goals for your family time.
Can you
skip Monday night football to enjoy some time reading with your
children. You won't miss much - and the benefits will last longer after
that football game is forgotten.

and try to consume several different vegetables every day. A serving of
sliced apples or even applesauce is a healthy treat any time! Healthy eating habits are important to
your child's health.
Make it a
habit to include fruits, berries, and vegetables of various colors
in your family's diet. Blueberry pancakes are sure to boost their
morning learning power.
Many children love strawberries and watermelon. Or any type of melon
for that matter. Toss a banana in their lunch box. Or a little box of
raisins!
Or let them help make a meal. They will
enjoy the time spent
with you and be more willing to eat a meal they helped prepare. How

Take advantage of physical activities you and your children can
enjoy together. Riding bikes, Take a walk. Play some tennis or
golf. Teach them to be adventurous — try new
sports, games and other
physical activities. How about soccer or baseball? Both can be great
exercise and lead to life long friendships.
Are you spending enough time with your
children? I know I'm
not. Childhood passes so quickly - don't we owe our children ( and
ourselves ) the gift of time? At least a few minutes each day? Many a
parenting expert has suggested that to a child love is frequently
spelled "t-i-m-e". Time spent with our children and loved ones is
the best, and most memorable time of our lives.
