  Maple Apple Bars Make Eating Healthy Easy!
  
    


    Enjoy this delicious, rich desert over the Holidays or anytime! Loads of fiber and nature's own sweet tastes of maple, honey and apples make this a healthy and nutritious snack!

Here's what you'll need:

5 Good Sized Apples
1/4 cup instant or quick cooking oatmeal
1/4 cup flour ( Go Healthy - use Whole Wheat! )
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons of Honey
1/4 cup Real Maple Syrup
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup real butter 

nature's sweet  honey!


Now, lets get ready to Cook!



1.  Butter the bottom and sides of your Square Ceramic Baker . (You can substitute    Extra Virgin Olive Oil if you want. We prefer real butter!)

2.  Slice the apples and toss the cores.

3.  Spread the sliced apples on the bottom of the pan.

4.  Cut the butter into small slices and put in a bowl.

5.  Add the oatmeal, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.

6.  Using two knives, cut the butter into the mixture until it looks like small crumbs.

7.  Sprinkle the mixture over the top of the apples.

8.  Pour the honey and then the maple syrup over everything!

9.   Bake ( at 350 ) for 25 minutes. 

10. Cut into 3" squares!
